Hungry World
Each month you have an opportunity to give an additional offering to missions that usually helps with domestic or world disaster. Sometimes it goes to a missions closer to home; Backpack Program, Pastor's Discretionary Fund, C.C.A.G. Food Baskets, to name a few.
Each year, Hungry World Projects are chosen by the Missions Commission one month at a time. This is so that current needs can be met. This monthly offering always goes toward a hunger-related mission project. Offerings going to natural disasters, refugee assistance, hunger at home and across the needy world are sent to UMCOR. What is UMCOR? Our excellent United Methodist Committee on Relief ... where you know that every cent you give goes directly to the project. No overhead!
