Lent Sermon Series
Grounded: A Lent Series/ Sundays February 22-March 29

Lent is a time for us to pause and consider a foundational tenet of the Christian faith: we are all sinners in need of Jesus. During this series, congregants are invited to find their grounding by contemplating their sinfulness and prepare themselves to see the significance of God’s loving sacrifice.

Explore Our Faith: Lent
Lenten Devotional
Grounded

We hope that this devotional book will guide you in this journey of growing closer to God. Take the time to read each scripture reference, read what comes before it and what comes after it. Maybe journal a few sentences or illustrate what this makes you think about. Share these verses and these devotions to bring others along on this journey with you. Pray specifically for those who shared their heart and thoughts that day.

You can pickup a copy in our lobby or subscribe to receive it in your email inbox each day throughought lent.

Ash Wednesday
Wednesday, February 18 @ 6:30pm

Defeating sin in our lives and living for God requires us to patiently endure God’s discipline. In our struggle against sin, we should learn to love God’s discipline because it produces a holy life.

Palm Sunday
Sunday, March 29 @ 9:00am and 10:30am

As the disciples experienced, only after Jesus’s resurrection can the significance of Jesus’s triumphal entry be seen. Jesus is not just the king of the Jews; he’s the king of the world. We need to see that Jesus doesn’t always meet our expectations, but he is always what we need.

Maundy Thursday
Thursday, April 2 @ 6:30pm

Lord’s Supper reenactment with foot washing, and then hand washing for ever those in attendance.

Good Friday
Friday, April 3 @ 12:00pm

Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He promises the Holy Spirit, shares he is the True Vine, yet the world hates him. Through the Spirit, sadness will be turned to joy.

Easter Sunday
Sunday, April 5 @ 9:00am and 10:30am

As Christians, when we think about Easter we tend to focus on Jesus dying on the cross for our sin; however, the hope of the Gospel is found in Jesus being alive through his resurrection! The good news of Jesus’s death, burial, and resurrection brings forth a confident hope in our lives that transcends this present world with a future hope and anticipation.

The gospel message of Jesus is available for all to receive. In addition, as believers, we must continually hold firm to the good news of Jesus while standing in the hope of Jesus’s resurrection.
