The purpose of the United Methodist Women is to be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission, through participation in the global ministries of the church.
The United Methodist Women presently consist of two "circles." The Joanna Circle, which meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Church. The contact person for this circle is Shannon Rogers (work: 663-6500, home-543-6474). The second is the Priscilla Circle, which meets the second Tuesday at 9:30 AM at the Church. The U.M.W. not only do many service projects but sponsor many events during the year: Rummage Sale, Mother-Daughter Banquet, Christmas by Candlelight, Ecumenical luncheons, etc. The president of the U.M.W. is Alys Hoover (663-4375).
