The New United Methodist Men Organizational Meeting
Remember that beautiful hymn? Well; gentlemen of FUMER, we have a chance to rise up and be noticed. As of 4/15/10 we have officially become chartered as a United Methodist Men organization.

A number of us in the Wednesday morning Bible Study group have talked about doing this for quite some time and now it has become reality. The whole purpose of this, of course, is to give the opportunity for all men of all ages to become involved in various activities of the church. The Bible study will be just one of them.

Our first meeting was scheduled for June 16, 2010 at 7:00 pm in the Upper Room (Room 221) at the church.

That night we will be doing mostly planning for the future and having discussions on the hopes and desires of everyone present. A few ideas already mentioned are: having a supervised open gym for kids in the community, an open door ministry where we serve free lunch to needy people in the community, and providing 'fix it' help, etc. for people in the church and the community and for the church itself.
