The group took its name from the Third Person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit, recognizing that they would need to rely on the work of the Holy Spirit in communicating their message.

Currently made up of Alice Botti, Bill Botti, Richard Carlson, and Barbara Payne, Third Person provides music at morning worship services once a month here in Eaton Rapids and willingly goes just about anyplace else to provide programs. They have done programs for area churches and have gone as far as the Carson City Correctional Facility to share their music.
