• Church Council: This is the main decision making body in the Church. It especially has the responsibility for discerning God's vision for First United Methodist Church.

• Worship Design Team: This group prayerfully helps craft the worship services for Sunday mornings.

• Christian Education Committee: Recruits church school teachers and designs the church school program.

• Recreation Committee: Plans the sports activities such as the church softball league, volleyball in the gym, etc.
  
  
• Assimilation & Outreach Committee: Works at how best to welcome visitors, involve the congregation in service, and follows up on inactives.
  
  
• Missions Committee: Chooses which missionaries for the church to support, plans a yearly work camp somewhere in the U.S. chooses which missions overseas and within the U.S. that the church can support, and encourages the congregation to participate in overseas short term mission travels.

• Church and Society Committee: Helps guide the congregation in being involved in social issues and is responsible for signing up volunteers for the blood drive.

• Staff-Parish Relations Committee: Oversees, evaluates, and supports the church staff.

• Board of Trustees: Responsible for the upkeep of church property.

• Finance Committee: Develops the annual budget and teaches good stewardship to the congregation.
